MamaCore Return & Refund Policy (South Africa)
1. Overview
At MamaCore, we comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). This policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges.
2. No General โChange of Mindโ Returns
In accordance with South African law, customers do not have an automatic right to return goods simply because they changed their mind.
Returns are only accepted under the conditions set out below.
3. Returns for Defective, Damaged, or Unsafe Goods
If your MamaCore Changing Mat:
- Is defective
- Is damaged on delivery
- Does not meet reasonable quality standards
You are entitled to return it within 6 months of delivery.
You may choose:
- A repair
- A replacement
- A full refund
This is your legal right under the CPA, and returns in this case are:
- At our cost
- Without penalty
4. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period (Online Orders Only)
If you purchased your product online, you may cancel your order:
- Within 7 days of receiving the product
- Without giving a reason
Conditions:
- Item must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
- You are responsible for return shipping costs
You will receive a full refund within 30 days after cancellation.
5. Goods Not Examined Before Delivery
If you did not have the opportunity to inspect the product before delivery and:
- It is not as described
- It is not suitable for its intended purpose
You may return it within 10 business days of delivery.
6. Hygiene & Safety (IMPORTANT FOR BABY PRODUCTS)
For health and safety reasons, MamaCore reserves the right to refuse returns if:
- The changing mat has been used
- The product is soiled, washed, or altered
- The packaging has been significantly damaged
This is permitted under the CPA where public health restrictions apply to returned goods.
7. Condition of Returned Items
To qualify for any return (where applicable), items must:
- Be in original condition
- Include all packaging and accessories
- Not be damaged due to misuse
We reserve the right to:
- Deduct a reasonable handling/restocking fee if the product is not returned in original condition
8. Refund Processing
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing time: 5โ15 business days after approval
- Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error
9. Return Process
To initiate a return:

- Reason for return
- Photos (if defective/damaged)
We will provide return instructions.
10. Important Legal Notes
- This policy does not limit your rights under the CPA
- Where this policy conflicts with law, South African law will apply
